This morning, the city was covered in a blanket of very thick fog. It felt as if we were living in a cloud of some sort! Very bizarre yet magical at the same time!
The Dude commented that the weather felt “very British”! Now I’ve never been to the Uk before so I’ll have to take his word for it. Nevertheless, his remark and the weather seemed quite apt considering that today was the Queen’s birthday public holiday!
The best way to celebrate a public holiday like that is with a spot of tea I think! English breakfast no less!
I got out our trusty teapot and tea cosy (tea is best hot, yes?) for the special occasion…
And a couple of vintage plates (thrift store finds) to place the Movida brownies that we’d bought earlier!
It did take a little more effort than usual to prepare for tea but it made things seem a lot more fancy! And lots more fun to boot!
This has kind of inspired us to have more tea sessions with our fancy plates and crockery! Maybe some finger sandwiches and scones with lashings of cream and jam might be the way to go the next time we do this!
Have a royally awesome day folks!
