Those were the key words in the SMSes and messages that we received this evening from our friends. If you are wondering what I’m talking about, we’ve just experienced an earthquake! Right here in Melbourne!
We were absolutely oblivious to the event till we saw the messages. The Dude was having a shower and Bugs and I were reading some books when it happened, which was around 9pm Melbourne time.
We jumped online and started reading the news to find out more – it was a 5.2 magnitude quake that rattled the whole of Melbourne, it lasted for close to a minute, people interviewed in the news report all said they really felt the tremors and did panic when they realise it was an earthquake. The news are still filtering through as I post this – reports on any damage have yet to come through.
I personally felt it was kind of like a mini wake up call from Nature to remind ourselves to treasure every day and the special moments that it brings. No matter how big or small they are, you really won’t know how tomorrow will be like.
I’ll end off today with a picture of the view from our balcony, taken a few days ago while the sun was setting! Going off now to give The Dude and my precious baby Bugs an extra big cuddle and a kiss!
Till tomorrow folks!
